Skinny Latina Asian Inspired Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients: 

  • 16 ounces ground turkey

  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

  • 1 large egg

  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro

  • 3 tablespoons sliced green onions

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 3 tablespoons Skinny Latina Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce

Dipping Sauce: 

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon raw sugar or honey

  • 1 tablespoon Skinny Latina Marinade

  • 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tablespoon finely sliced green onion

  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

  • 1 tablespoon Skinny Latina hot sauce

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a sheet pan with aluminum foil and coat with a little olive oil.
  • Combine all ingredients for the meatballs in a mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
  • Roll the meatballs into balls that are 1 1/4 inches. Place on the sheet pan and bake for 11-13 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  • While the meatballs are cooking, combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and stir well.  
  • Once the meatballs are done cooking, transfer them to a mixing bowl and pour the sauce over them or serve as a dipping sauce on the side. Serve with jasmine rice or over stir fried noodles.
